Planet Waves American Stage Guitar Cable

Some guitar cables do not make a good connection when using certain guitars, resulting in crackles, or even worse, no sound at all.

I'd find a cable that one guitar would work well with, only to find that another guitar would not like it at all.

Using the American Stage cable, which has a slightly different jack tip design, seems to have solved my problem.

I have now used it with lots of different guitars and not had any issues with any of them.
