Mooer Slow Engine

I like to use the volume control on the Stratocaster to fade in notes, this is sometimes referred to as 'violining' or volume swell.

You can also get the same effect by using a volume pedal which is useful if you are using a guitar where the volume control is too far away.

Another option is to use an auto-fade pedal such as the Mooer Slow Engine.

This pedal works very well and can actually make the guitar sound like it is playing backwards.

The Mooer range of pedals are well built and very portable. I think I will probably be looking at a few more in this range.
